Transport aircraft were seen dropping humanitarian aid over the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Wednesday.<br /><br />Footage shows aircraft, which could not be identified, dropping the aid using parachutes.<br /><br />In a statement on its official Telegram channel, the Israeli army said that "119 packages of food aid, provided by several countries, were airdropped on Gaza residents on Wednesday".<br /><br />The countries involved in the aid distribution were Jordan, the UAE, Germany, Belgium, France and Italy.<br /><br />The war in Gaza broke out on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched an attack on Israel, killing 1,139 people and kidnapping more than 200 others.<br /><br />Israel has conducted military operations across Gaza in response, with 61,722 Palestinians killed and 154,525 others injured at the time of publication, according to Gaza's Ministry of Health.
