URBAN EXPLORER FINDS ABANDONED BUS GRAVEYARD<br />WITH PIX AND VID<br />By Shuk Yee Tsang<br />This urban explorer told how she explored a bus graveyard, uncovering rows of retro vehicles.<br />Urban explorer, Tokyo Matilda, 22, from Sheffield, UK, captured this eerie site in Somerset, UK, uncovering rows of vintage London buses, derelict Stagecoach coaches, slowly being reclaimed by nature.<br />Among the relics, an old petrol station once famous for its 99p fuel and also a coach garage adds a haunting touch to the collection. <br />Tokyo has been uncovering hidden places like this since the age of 14 and as a full-time Urban explorer, she documents her discoveries online.<br />Over her years of urban exploring, she estimates she’s come across at least 10,000 abandoned vehicles in various graveyards, from cars and buses, with an estimated total value of over a million pounds.<br />Tokyo always takes precautions exploring with a partner, letting others know her location, and carrying essentials like a torch, first aid kit, and fully charged phone. <br />Her passion for vehicle explorations comes from her family her dad, grandad, and brother all love cars.<br />Tokyo said: “It was crazy how long they’d been left therethat’s what surprised me the most. <br />"How they could just be dumped and abandoned with no one interested in them.<br />“The thrill of finding a vintage London buses. <br />“Some people think trespassing shouldn’t be allowed, but others see that I’m showcasing abandoned places that would otherwise never be seen.<br />“For me, it’s about preserving a piece of history before it’s gone for good.”<br />END
