Koalas – The Tree-Dwelling Marsupials of Australia

2025-08-15 5 Dailymotion

Koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus) are iconic Australian marsupials known for their fluffy ears, large noses, and cuddly appearance. They live in eucalyptus forests, feeding almost exclusively on eucalyptus leaves, which provide both food and water. Koalas spend most of their time sleeping—up to 20 hours a day—to conserve energy from their low-nutrient diet. Females carry their young, called joeys, in a pouch until they are ready to cling to the mother’s back.
