Former Hong Kong Democratic Party lawmaker Ted Hui has announced his permanent settlement in Australia after being granted a protection visa there. In the U.K., student activist Tony Chung shared his newly granted refugee status and five-year residency in that country. The two had been charged under Hong Kong's draconian national security law for their involvement in the city's pro-democracy movement.
