'Downton Abbey' costumes and props on auction ahead of final film's release<br /><br />A “Downton Abbey” auction preview opened in London on Monday, August 18, exhibiting costumes and props from the British television period drama and its spinoff films.<br /><br />Celebrating the Emmy-winning series and the upcoming final film “Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale,” the auction by Bonhams on London’s New Bond Street revisits the upper-class gentry of the Crawley estate, with highlights including wedding and party dresses, a vintage car, autographed scripts and clapper boards.<br /><br />While the auction will be held online, Bonhams has opened a free exhibition for the public and potential bidders, offering fans of the acclaimed show a glimpse of the fictional estate and its character's luxury lifestyle. <br /><br />The show’s production studio Carnival Films is providing most of the items on sale.
