Malaysia has entered the second phase of the Water Sector Transformation Roadmap 2040 (AIR2040) under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) to develop local water technology that meets international standards, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.<br /><br />Speaking at the launch of the Langat 2 WTP on Wednesday (Aug 20), Fadillah, who is also the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, said AIR2040 aims to ensure affordable, clean and reliable water while transforming the sector into a dynamic economic driver through research, development, commercialisation and innovation.<br /><br />He added that efforts to cut Non-Revenue Water (NRW) include nationwide critical pipe replacement, holistic NRW solutions and rebates for operators that achieve set targets.<br /><br />Read more at https://tinyurl.com/yjrc2kte<br /> <br />WATCH MORE: https://thestartv.com/c/news<br />SUBSCRIBE: https://cutt.ly/TheStar<br />LIKE: https://fb.com/TheStarOnline
