Hertz announced Wednesday it will sell pre-owned vehicles on Amazon Autos, expanding its retail operations and digital presence, according to CNBC. Customers can shop thousands of Hertz used cars on Amazon Autos, complete purchases online, and pick them up at Hertz locations. Hertz launched Amazon Autos sales in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, and Seattle, with plans to expand to 45 locations nationwide. The partnership marks Amazon Autos’ first fleet dealer and expands its selection of used vehicles, which now includes brands like Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, and Nissan. Hertz plans to expand the program to 45 locations nationwide as part of its turnaround strategy, introduced after its pandemic bankruptcy and failed EV push. The company reported its strongest-ever quarter for retail vehicle sales earlier this year and said its Rent2Buy program is also expanding to over 100 cities.
