Musk predicted 20-cent operating costs and sub-$30,000 pricing at Tesla’s October 2024 “We, Robot” event, with production beginning in 2026, despite a history of delays. Tesla’s second-quarter revenue fell 12% to $22.5 billion. Shares are down 14.6% year-to-date with a $1.01 trillion market cap.
