Tesla’s $0 down lease offer is limited to California and Texas, with terms of up to 24 months on Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. Customers must still pay a $695 acquisition fee, the first month’s payment, and applicable taxes and registration fees at signing. The move follows steep sales declines, including a 60% drop in the UK and an 88% decline in Sweden. Tesla is also contending with lawsuits over its FSD technology, investor lawsuits regarding Robotaxi safety, and growing pushback on Musk’s $29 billion pay package.
