Prayagraj, UP – A major accident occurred during construction of the country’s second longest bridge on the Ganga. While heavy concrete structures were being loaded onto a cargo ship using cranes, a truck and container lost balance and overturned into the river. Workers fled in panic, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.<br /><br />The 9.9 km long bridge, connecting Bailey Road to Malaka near Phaphamau, is being built at a cost of ₹1948 crore by SP Singla Construction Pvt. Ltd.
