China's Xi welcomes Russia's Putin and other leaders at the SCO summit in Tianjin<br /><br />World leaders arrived at the Tianjin summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Sunday, August 31.<br /><br />President Xi Jinping will host about 20 world leaders in Tianjin, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, at the two-day summit, the largest gathering since the group was established in 2001 among six Eurasian nations.<br /><br />The security-focused bloc has expanded to 10 permanent members and 16 dialogue and observer countries in recent years.
