RAFTING THROUGH AN FLOODED ABANDONED MINE<br />WITH VID<br />By Jaiansh Sharma<br />Watch as 20-year-old hard rock miner drifts a few hundred feet through the acidic waters of a flooded mine.<br />The clip shows Nathan Hamm navigating from Colorado,USA in a small raft, pointing out a deep hole beneath him and the unsettling sounds echoing off the mine walls.<br />Despite the ominous red water, a sign of acidity, he keeps his cool, joking, “Totally not concerned at all. I’m gonna get out of here before I sink.”<br />Nathan posted the video on Instagram where, strange sight of rust-colored water immediately sparked curiosity online, with viewers wondering about the mine’s hazardous chemistry.<br />One user commented: “The iron concentration is the water is very high, giving it the red color.”<br />Another added: “I feel like... And not factually, that the water could be eating that plastic.”<br />ENDS
