MARINE BIOLOGIST SAVES BABY SEA TURTLE TRAPPED IN PLASTIC<br />WITH VID<br />By Jaiansh Sharma<br />A routine morning boat trip turned into a life-saving mission when marine biologist Marcos Hado rescued a baby sea turtle tangled in a discarded mesh bag off the coast of Batroun, Lebanon.<br />Marcos, a 50-year-old consultant in marine biology and freediving instructor from Lebanon, spotted the floating clump of plastic about 12 miles from shore.<br />As he approached, he noticed movement and discovered a tiny turtle, no bigger than his palm, struggling to free itself.<br />In the clip, Marcos carefully lifts the mesh aboard his boat and uses a knife to cut away the plastic wrapped around the turtle’s fragile flippers.<br />After checking for injuries and even removing barnacles that could have slowed the juvenile down, he gently released it back into the sea.<br />With a quick kick of its flippers, the baby turtle swam off into the deep, a powerful reminder of the dangers plastic pollution poses to marine life.<br />Posted online, one user commented: “Was hoping you’d give her a little kiss.”<br />Another added: “Well done!!!
