The US House of Representatives has passed a bill allowing for Chinese officials to be sanctioned if they fail to take "credible steps" to prevent the trafficking of fentanyl precursors and synthetic opioids into the United States. It still needs to be approved by the Senate and signed by President Donald Trump before it becomes law.
