BIRDS BATTLE IT OUT IN THE SKY<br />WITH PIX AND VID<br />BY SHUK YEE TSANG<br />A dramatic clash between birds of prey and waterbirds has been caught on camera.<br />Wildlife photographer Jack Zhi from California, USA, filmed various birds battle it out in his home state.<br />In one clip Jack captures the rare moments of great crested grebes fighting in front of a turtle.<br />In another clip a peregrine falcon takes on a brown pelican.<br />He also documented a peregrine falcon taking a post-battle bath to cool off after the encounter.<br />Jack described one sequence: “Down he goes! Sorry, got photo bombed by fishermen at the end, but I consider myself lucky to have even observed it. Lol!<br />“Happy mom taking a bath and shower to stay clean”<br />Viewers praised his work, with one commenting:<br />“Such a unique and elaborate courtship display.
