The U-Haul Art Fair is an innovative, nomadic art fair held in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood, organized by the U-Haul Gallery. Unlike traditional art fairs, it takes place inside customized U-Haul moving trucks parked on the streets, offering a low-cost, flexible, and accessible alternative to conventional gallery spaces. Launched in September 2025, the inaugural event runs from September 5–7, coinciding with The Armory Show, and features 10 exhibitors: U-Haul Gallery (New York), Nino Mier Gallery (New York & Brussels), Mey (Los Angeles), Post Times (New York), A Hug From The Art World (New York), Autobody Autobody (Los Angeles), Hexton (Aspen), I Made This Up (Boston), Indiana Hoover (New York) & Stowaway (Los Angeles), Last Days Gallery (New York), Quantum Academy (New York), and Chuck. The fair showcases a variety of artworks in these mobile “booths,” emphasizing affordability and experimental presentation while challenging the traditional white-cube gallery model.
