HEARTWARMING MOMENT GRANDMOTHER GETS FIRST SOLO APARTMENT AT AGE 87<br />WITH PIX AND VID<br />By Shuk Yee Tsang<br />Check out this heartwarming clip where a 87-year-old grandma gets her very first solo apartment! <br />At 87 years old, Jan Lewis from South Carolina, USA has just moved into her very first apartment where she’ll be living independently for the first time in her life.<br />The milestone was captured on video by her daughter, Suzanne Mosley, with granddaughter Ava also cheering her on.<br />Now proudly calling herself an “independent queen” in her new pad, Jan has wasted no time settling in. <br />She told how she loves the view from her window; she has already met a group of friendly women and even won $10 at bingo.<br />One of her favorite features? Her perfectly matching aqua-blue appliances earning plenty of admiration online.<br />The video, cheekily captioned “MTV Cribs: Assisted Living Edition”, has delighted viewers online who flooded the comments with encouragement.<br />Jan says she feels “famous” thanks to all the love and support, and is excited to enjoy this new chapter of independence.<br />Jan said: “In my day it wasn’t appropriate for girls to live alone!<br />“You had to show your marriage certificate to get approved for an apartment!<br />“I’m excited to only worry about myself!”<br />Comments online included: “Love your new place!!
