Paramount Skydance is preparing a yearlong celebration for Star Trek’s 60th anniversary in 2026, unveiling new shows, events, and partnerships on Star Trek Day, according to Benzinga. The slate includes “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy,” set to premiere on Paramount+ in early 2026 with Holly Hunter and Paul Giamatti in the cast, and “Star Trek: Scouts,” the first preschool spinoff. Paramount also launched “Star Trek: Khan,” a scripted podcast exploring the villain’s origins, and partnered with Lego to produce official sets. Other highlights include a Rose Parade float, a 60th Anniversary Cruise featuring William Shatner and Walter Koenig, and expanded programming across platforms. Since its 1966 debut, the franchise has become a multibillion-dollar cultural force, known for its utopian vision and loyal fan base.
