CLOSE WHALE ENCOUNTER ON TINY BOAT<br />WITH VID<br />By Dev Yadav<br />Watch the astonishing moment a massive whale surfaces just one metre away from a tiny recreational boat off Western Australia.<br />Registered nurse Ash Core, 36, from the Gold Coast, shared the dramatic footage after her husband Nash, 40, and their son Parker, 11, who had an unforgettable encounter.<br />The family had been trawling for fish behind the reef break when their lure became stuck. As Nash manoeuvred their small 3.1-metre tinny away from the reef, Parker suddenly shouted, “Look, there’s a whale!” Seconds later, the enormous creature rose out of the water right beside them.<br />In the clip, Parker can be heard gasping in shock as the whale surfaces dangerously close.<br />Ash said: “I was so shocked at how close the whale was to them when it surfaced. This has never happened to us before it’s pretty incredible.”<br />Friends and family have flooded the family with messages, some calling the encounter “scary” while others described it as “a memory to cherish forever.”<br />ENDS
