It was exceptionally busy at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham on September 12 for the private viewing of five new exhibitions.<br />The exhibition for the Surrey Artist of the Year 2025 competition was enjoyed alongside new ceramics by Richard Miller, paintings by Rosalinda Kightley, a paper sculpture by Anna Cook and the gallery’s autumn craft collection.<br />Previous competition winners Pippa Ward, Tessa Pearson and Rachel Mulligan are on the shortlist again.<br />The New Ashgate Gallery team said: “We were thrilled to welcome such a fantastic turnout - proof of how vibrant Farnham’s creative community is. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us, and to our artists whose work made the night so special.”<br />Voting for the Surrey Artist of the Year award runs until October 17 at midday.
