An electric atmosphere welcomed Ironman Wales once again as Tenby and Pembrokeshire paid host to the spectacular sporting triathlon.<br />With Ironkids entrants braving the brutal Tenby rain on Saturday to get their own magic red carpet moment along The Esplanade finishing line; Sunday saw a much finer day for the main event, with more than 2,700 competitors taking to the North Beach ready to ‘face the dragon’ and enter the sea at 7.25am.<br />From there, athletes took on the 112 mile bike course around Pembrokeshire, before pounding the streets of the seaside town for the 26.2 mile marathon.<br />The 2025 men’s winner was the UK’s Lewis Eccleston; while Franziska Hoffmann from Germany was the pro women’s champion.<br />
