A powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, sending shockwaves across the region and triggering tsunami alerts as far as Alaska. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, this was a shallow aftershock of a major earthquake that hit the area in July, making it even more dangerous.<br /><br />Footage captured by locals shows cars rocking, furniture clattering, and alarms going off — a chilling scene in one of the world’s most volcanically active zones.
