HEAVY FLOODS TURN MILAN STREETS INTO RIVERS<br /> <br />WITH VID<br />BY TIM TONG<br /> <br />Watch the moment floodwaters hit Milan on September 22nd, as the River Seveso burst its banks and sent water surging through the city streets.<br /> <br />Michele Ikome, from Milan, Italy filmed the series of clips from Ca’ Granda and Via Fulvio Testi showing ankle-deep water covering roads.<br /> <br />While torrents gush out of manholes and drains unable to cope with the volume.<br /> <br />Cars creep through the submerged streets as pedestrians wade carefully along pavements.<br /> <br />The dramatic scenes quickly gathered over 1.5 million views on TikTok, with many shocked to see such flooding in Italy’s fashion capital.<br /> <br />One commenter said: ‘Milan looks more like Venice now.’<br /> <br />Another said: ‘Our drainage system are just not built to handle it.’<br /> <br />ENDS
