Indore/Switzerland, Sept 2025: Dr. Rohini Ghavari, a PhD scholar from Indore currently based in Switzerland, has publicly accused Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhim Army chief and MP from Nagina (UP), of sexual harassment, emotional exploitation, and deceit.<br /><br />Dr. Ghavari claims Azad manipulated her under the pretext of love and marriage, causing severe trauma that derailed her personal life and career. She also alleges that Azad has similarly mistreated other women, hiding facts about his marital status while using his political stature for undue influence.<br /><br />In June 2025, she began raising her accusations on social media and later filed complaints with the National Commission for Women, claiming sustained threats and attempts to malign her.<br /><br />On 23 September 2025, the matter escalated when Dr. Ghavari posted suicide threats online, explicitly naming Azad as responsible for her distress and tagging the Prime Minister in her appeals. The posts went viral, sparking a nationwide debate.<br /><br />While the NCW and State Commissions for Women have initiated proceedings, Azad’s supporters and Bhim Army leaders have dismissed the charges as politically motivated, blaming rival parties for a smear campaign.<br /><br />The controversy has since seen viral leaks of private chats, sharp caste debates (Jatav vs Valmiki communities), and growing calls for Azad’s suspension from Parliament if found guilty.<br /><br />Dr. Ghavari, who identifies as an Ambedkarite, insists her fight is about justice rather than caste, though the matter has taken on wider social and political dimensions.<br /><br />As of now, police and authorities have not confirmed any harm to Dr. Ghavari despite her suicide threats.
