At the annual U.N. General Assembly, Colombian President Gustavo Petro president called for a criminal investigation into Trump over deadly strikes in the Caribbean. He accused Trump of instrumentalizing the criminalization of poverty and migration. He said the passengers “were not drug traffickers; they were simply poor young people from Latin America who had no other option.”
