Hundreds of bargain hunters were out in force this morning as B&M officially opened its brand-new store at Rushmere Shopping Centre, Craigavon.<br /><br />The store welcomed its first customers from 8am, with queues forming early as excited shoppers gathered to explore the new retail space.<br /><br />A B&M spokesperson said: “We are delighted to share that our new store at 916 Rushmere officially opened this morning at 8am. The opening was proudly carried out by the Bluebell Trust Charity.<br /><br />“The weather was cold and overcast, with some sunny spells throughout the day, but that didn’t stop the excitement. The store is located on the former Homebase site and has undergone a complete internal and external refurbishment.”<br /><br />The ribbon-cutting ceremony was proudly carried out by local charity Bluebell Trust, who were specially chosen by B&M colleagues for their outstanding work in the community. The organisation provides vital support to children and families in the Craigavon area through school partnerships, toy drives, and other grassroots initiatives.<br /><br />The new store spans a spacious 25,907sqft and offers an extensive selection of branded groceries, homeware, health and beauty products, toys, electricals, gifts, and DIY essentials — all at unbeatable value. Customers were also thrilled to explore the 10,995sqft garden centre, which features hundreds of plant varieties and a wide range of gardening essentials.<br /><br />The opening of the store has also brought a welcome boost to the local economy, with 30 new jobs created for the area.<br /><br />Store manager added: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”<br /><br />With a packed store and excited shoppers throughout the day, it’s clear the new B&M at Rushmere is already a hit with the community.
