For the fourth consecutive day, the national strike in Ecuador continues in protest against President Daniel Noboa's decision to eliminate the diesel subsidy. Protests continue with roadblocks in Imbabura, Pichincha, Cotopaxi and Zamora Chinchipe. For its part, the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador reported that military tanks entered Pegüche and remained concealed in vacant lots, causing fear and intimidation among the mobilised population. This comes after the many complaints against the Noboa government for its use of excessive force against Indigenous communities.
