LEWIS HAMILTON has tragically admitted beloved dog Roscoe "may not wake up from this" after slipping into a coma. <br /><br />The seven-time F1 world champion's pooch was diagnosed with pneumonia in April and has since been treated with medication. <br /><br />But Hamilton, 40, has now shared a new worrying update revealing Roscoe had suffered a second bout of pneumonia and his heart stopped while vets rushed to treat him. <br /><br />Hamilton said, "Please keep Roscoe in your thoughts. I want to keep you all updated. <br /><br />"Roscoe caught pneumonia again and was struggling to breathe. <br /><br />"He was admitted to the hospital and sedated to calm him while they did checks on him, and during the process, his heart stopped. <br /><br />"They managed to get a heartbeat back, and now he’s in a coma. Hamilton added, "We don’t know whether he will wake from this. <br /><br />"Tomorrow we’ll try to wake him up. <br /><br />"I’m by his side and want to thank you all for your prayers and support." <br /><br />The heartbreaking updates come just a day after Hamilton urged fans to keep Roscoe in their prayers after a "scary few hours". <br /><br />Sharing a picture of Roscoe at a medical facility, Hamilton posted: "It's been a scary few hours, everyone please keep Roscoe in your thoughts and prayers." <br /><br />The beloved dog is looked after by animal lover and trainer Kirstin McMillan while his celebrity owner travels the world as an F1 driver. <br /><br />Roscoe has been a constant companion for the seven-time world champion. <br /><br />And he has even rocked up at the tracks with his owner throughout the years. <br /><br />Roscoe even appeared in F1: The Movie and was named in the credits alongside its leading stars like Brad Pitt. <br /><br />The pooch also has more than 1.3million followers on Instagram. <br /><br />Hamilton has yet to score a podium for Ferrari despite switching to the constructor from Mercedes earlier this year.
