Ruben Amorim will be given more time to turn things around at Manchester United following their 3-1 defeat to Brentford over the weekend. United were outplayed on Saturday afternoon as they once again fluffed an opportunity to record consecutive Premier League wins under their head coach.

Igor Thiago bagged an early brace to pile more misery on Amorim before Benjamin Sesko gave United hope with his first goal for the club. Bruno Fernandes saw a second-half penalty saved by Caoimhin Kelleher, and substitute Mathias Jensen sealed the win with a ferocious strike in added time.

It means Amorim has collected just 34 points from his 33 Premier League games in charge of the club, and he has yet to manage back-to-back victories in the competition. United are back in action when they host Sunderland at Old Trafford next weekend before a daunting trip to face Liverpool at Anfield after the next international break.

#mufc #manutd #amorim #manager #sacked #sacking
