A powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, shaking the region and triggering immediate tsunami warnings. The quake was so strong that Alaska’s Aleutian Islands were briefly placed under a tsunami advisory, which was later canceled.<br /><br />Governor Vladimir Solodov confirmed that a tsunami warning was issued locally, but fortunately, no damage has been reported so far.
