Residents who lost their homes in a ferocious fire that ripped through WA's southern grain belt earlier this year have been told they may have to wait up to two years before the cause of the fire is known. Initial investigations were unable to determine the origin of the fire, putting compensation claims on hold and leaving some in housing limbo.
