UP deals Ateneo first loss in UAAP 88<br /><br />University of the Philippines claims its third straight win and deals Ateneo de Manila its first loss in the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball tournament after a dominant 83-69 performance at the Mall of Asia Arena on Oct. 8, 2025. Francis Nnoruka hammered a career-best 28 points on top of nine rebounds and four steals for the Fighting Maroons, who rose to 3-2 four fourth place and stopped the Blue Eagles streak at 4-1. Ateneo, however, stays atop the team standings and shares the lead with the NU Bulldogs.
