A drone from the SIGNUM unit of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Russian TOS-1 Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system in a strike recorded on video and released by the unit’s press service on Telegram.<br /><br />The attack took place in the Lyman direction, where the Russian system had been used to fire at Ukrainian defensive positions. According to the unit, bomber drones initially forced the TOS-1 to leave its position, after which an FPV drone was deployed to completely neutralize the vehicle during its movement.<br /><br />Reports indicate that the Russian vehicle had been fitted with additional anti-drone cage armor, but the FPV’s explosion hit the flamethrower’s rockets directly, triggering a chain reaction that severely damaged and disabled the system.<br /><br />The TOS-1A Solntsepek is widely used by Russian occupation forces to destroy light armored vehicles, infantry positions, and defensive fortifications, making it one of the most feared ground-based weapons in the Russian arsenal.<br /><br />Source and images: Telegram @umftteam
