Archers tame Tigers <br /> <br />De La Salle University fended off University of Santo Tomas, 86-77, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Oct. 25, 2025 to claim its third straight win in the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball tournament. The Growling Tigers battled back from 22 points down and pulled to within six, 70-76, but EJ Gollena drained a trey in the final 39 seconds; Earl Abadam soared for a layup in the last 15, and JC Macalalag drained two free throws with five ticks left to seal the win for the Green Archers. Macalalag finished with 18 points built on four triples while also logging four rebounds and three assists to lead La Salle, which improved to 5-3 for a 3-way tie with UST and UP in second place.<br /><br />VIDEO BY NIEL V.
