Soldiers of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Galician Airborne Forces have received American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, expanding the tactical capabilities of the unit on the Ukrainian front.

According to a video released by the brigade’s press service, the M2 Bradleys were officially added to the unit’s arsenal.

However, with the increasing use of drones on the battlefield, the deployment of these vehicles has become more limited, being used only when deemed necessary.

To adapt to this new reality, the armored vehicles have been equipped with additional protective structures against enemy drones — known among soldiers as “barbecues.” These metal cages are designed to reduce the impact of attacks from small explosive drones.

Source and images: Instagram @80air_assault_brigade
