Harlem mother shares concerns as government shutdown threatens food aid<br /><br />Monique Lewis, a Harlem resident and mother of three, relies on $742 in monthly SNAP benefits to cover nearly 75 percent of her food budget — a lifeline now under threat as the White House plans to send only partial payments to 42 million Americans as the government shutdown crippling public services nears record length.
