FREEDIVER NEARLY SWALLOWED BY GIANT HUMPBACK WHALE<br />With VID<br />By Dev Yadav<br />This is the heart-stopping moment a freediver came within inches of being swallowed by a humpback whale.<br />Cindy Yang, 45, a freediving coach and underwater photographer from Australia, was diving off the coast of Norway when a huge bait ball of herring suddenly surrounded her.<br />Within seconds, a massive humpback whale surged up from the depths to feed, bursting through a cloud of bubbles and fins and narrowly missing Cindy as it engulfed the school of fish.<br />Miraculously, Cindy stayed calm and swam clear of the whale’s path. <br />She described the encounter as “The most breathtaking and humbling moment of her underwater career.<br />"While Freediving a bait ball of herrings emerges suddenly and a humpback whale came from beneath to feed, nearly swallowing me."<br />One viewer commented: “Omg Cindy, this is wild!”<br />Another joked: “You were about to be Jonah!”<br />ENDS
