This is the shocking moment a wild jaguar caught its prey just centimetres away from a female tourist’s feet.<br /><br />Donald Moradel was leading a tour in Tikal, Guatemala, on November 7 when a troop of coatis surrounded the group.<br /><br />Stunning footage captured the moment a jaguar suddenly burst through the undergrowth with its eyes locked on its next meal.<br /><br />Within seconds the big cat had pounced on an unfortunate coati and wrestled it to the ground right next to a woman filming the whole scene.<br /><br />Donald said: “It was shocking. I know this is the first time in Tikal's history that a jaguar has been seen attacking so close to humans.<br /><br />“I knew there was one nearby because I see them constantly, since they walk around in the darkness during the sunrise tour in Tikal.<br /><br />“This was very nerve-wracking because it was so close to the group. It was only five metres from me when it caught the coati.”
