The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame celebrated its 2025 class of inductees with a spectacular, star-packed ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles Saturday night. The evening was filled with powerful performances, emotional reunions, and heartfelt tributes honoring some of music's most influential artists. The night kicked off with a lively tribute to Sly & the Family Stone, headlined by Stevie Wonder and including performances by Jennifer Hudson, Beck, Flea, and Questlove. Among the evening's most talked-about moments was actor Jim Carrey, along with late frontman Chris Cornell's daughter Lily Cornell Silver, inducting Soundgarden into the Hall of Fame. All four surviving members of the iconic grunge band--Matt Cameron, Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd, and founding bassist Hiro Yamamoto--were present for the induction and a rare live performance. In another memorable highlight, Carrey reunited with Taylor Momsen--his How the Grinch Stole Christmas co-star--marking their first public appearance together in 25 years. Momsen, now the frontwoman of The Pretty Reckless, teamed up with Brandi Carlile to deliver a powerhouse tribute to Soundgarden, along with Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready. The night also saw a moving moment from Toni Cornell, daughter of the late Chris Cornell, who performed an emotional rendition of 'Fell on Black Days' alongside Nancy Wilson of Heart. The 2025 class of inductees reflected the broad and diverse spirit of rock and roll, spanning multiple eras and genres. Honorees included Cyndi Lauper, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Outkast, and The White Stripes--each recognized for their groundbreaking contributions to music and culture. In the Musical Influence category, hip-hop pioneers Salt-N-Pepa and songwriter Warren Zevon were honored for shaping the sound and direction of modern music across decades. Each inductee was honored by notable figures from across the music world. Cyndi Lauper was inducted by Chappell Roan and performed alongside Avril Lavigne and Salt-N-Pepa. Bad Company received their honor from Mick Fleetwood, a 1998 inductee and drummer for Fleetwood Mac. Outkast was inducted by Donald Glover, with performances honoring the hip hop duo by Janelle Monáe, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat, while The White Stripes were recognized by Iggy Pop with Olivia Rodrigo, Feist, and Twenty One Pilots playing to pay homage to the band. Salt-N-Pepa were inducted by Missy Elliott, and the late Warren Zevon was honored by longtime friend David Letterman. The late Joe Cocker was inducted by Bryan Adams and celebrated in a star-studded tribute led by the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Teddy Swims, with additional appearances by Adams, Cyndi Lauper, and Chris Robinson for the show-stopping finale.
