At least 8 people died on Monday after a car bomb exploded near Red Fort in New Delhi, the capital of India. The blast left about 20 people injured and caused 6 cars and 3 motorcycle taxis to catch fire. The incident occurred at around 7 pm local time, when an explosion occurred inside a vehicle that was stopped at a red traffic light near the metro station in one of the busiest areas of the city. Indian home minister Amit Shah said it is very difficult to determine the cause of the incident and that all hypotheses remain open.
