On Saturday, December 6 the Ex Servicemen's Club ('Dogs Home') in Tenby will resonate once again to the sound of Northern Soul and Tamla Motown. <br />Following the resounding success of the last event there is another chance to enjoy this wonderful music running from 7pm to 11.30pm and entry is free to all!<br />So get ready to move your feet and feed your soul! Step into the groove at our Northern Soul and Motown Disco Night — a high-energy celebration of rare vinyl, pounding beats, and dancefloor magic. <br />The DJs for the night are Chris Birch, Paul Davies, Pauline Williams and 'Detroit Dave'. <br />Chris started Djing in 1974 in Lancashire at the height of Northern Soul's popularity. <br />Guest Paul Davies joins the line up having DJ'd across Wales, and like Pauline and Dave, despite his name comes from Pembrokeshire!<br />“From the crackle of vintage 45s to the swirl of suede shoes and spinning dancers, we’re bringing back the golden age of soul with a modern twist,” said Chris.<br />“Expect floor-fillers, forgotten gems, and the kind of rhythm that keeps your heart racing and your feet sliding.<br />“Fitting with the current vinyl revival all the tunes are played from the original vinyl records giving that authentic sound.<br />“Northern Soul is currently enjoying it's biggest revival since the seventies including a Northern Soul Prom.<br />“Over one hundred events taking place every weekend, particularly in cities such as Bristol, Bath, Manchester and London where young people have also embraced the genre.”<br />This is an opportunity to come along and enjoy tunes including the original 'Tainted Love', 'Sweet Soul Music,' Heaven Must Have Sent You', 'I Can't Help Myself' and 'This Old Heart Of Mine' all for free!<br />Tenby Ex Servicemen's Club is located opposite the Five Arches and is ideal with a good sized dance floor. <br />
