Russia's State Dma has approved a draft appeal urging United Nations member states to condemn the United States' escalating military presence in the Caribbean. Russian parliamentarians denounced the US deployment near Venezuelan waters, conducted under the pretext of combating drug cartels, as a violation of international law. The Dma expressed full solidarity with the Venezuelan government and people in their efforts to defend national sovereignty, stability, and independence. Duma President Vyacheslav Volodin stated that Venezuela faces significant challenges in its struggle to preserve regional peace against these aggressive actions.
