Ride Him, Bosko! is a Looney Tunes short released on September 17, 1932, directed by Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising. It is the 24th short in the series. <br /><br />Set in the Old West, Bosko rides a horse, sings "When the Bloom is on the Sage", and visits a chaotic saloon in Red Gulch, where gunfights and slapstick reign. Meanwhile, his sweetheart Honey rides the Deadwood stagecoach, pursued by bandits who shoot wildly, causing clothes to flee from a trunk and a bull skeleton to come to life. <br /><br />The cartoon features surreal gags, musical numbers, and ends with a cliffhanger: as Bosko gallops to rescue Honey, the animators—Harman, Ising, and Blackburn—appear in a live-action sequence, admit they don’t know how to save her, and simply walk off, leaving Bosko mid-ride.
