The establishment of a Halal Commission under the Halal Development Corporation (HDC) will centralise halal certification and boost the competitiveness of local businesses at home and abroad, says Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan.<br /><br />During the Dewan Rakyat session on Wednesday (Nov 12), Ramanan said the ministry stopped receiving direct allocations for halal certification after 2017, as the responsibility shifted to HDC.
