LEOPARD SCARES A LITTLE DUNG BEETLE<br />WITH VID<br />BY SALONI MATHUR<br />Watch this hilarious video in which a small dung beetle can be seen rolling a ball of dirt and gets shocked by a leopard stalking it. <br />This video was captured by Nick Kleer, a wildlife guide & photographer in Hoedspruit, South Africa. <br />The video shows a dung beetle, unaware of its surroundings, rolling a small ball of dirt across the sand.<br />But, unbeknownst to it, standing at a short distance is a leopard that takes an interest in this small, hard-working beetle. <br />Curious, the leopard walks up behind it and tries to sniff it out, and the dung beetle, sensing the presence of a predator, freezes in its path before hurriedly continuing down the path. <br />Nick said: “The way the dung beetle froze for a second, it was almost as if it was praying for its life. <br />“Then it continued on its way without being disturbed by the leopard. <br />“Leopards are known to eat dung beetles and other insects as part of their varied and opportunistic diet.<br />“But maybe he took mercy on this one and spared its life.”<br />ENDS
