Modernized vehicles arrive with improved range, accuracy and UAV defense<br /><br />The industrial group Uralvagonzavod has announced the delivery of a new batch of TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy rocket-launch systems to the Russian Army. The units were shipped already equipped with an upgraded anti-drone protection suite, developed based on experience gained in recent combat operations.<br /><br />According to Dmitry Semizorov, deputy general director for special equipment at Uralvagonzavod, real combat use remains the main driver of the improvements implemented by the industry.<br /><br />He emphasized that the core objective is to increase the effectiveness of the TOS system against modern threats, especially UAVs, which have become a constant presence on the battlefield. “The engineers and designers of the industrial group are continuously improving the Solntsepyok, enhancing its characteristics,” Semizorov said.<br /><br />Telegram @uvznews
