DOG SWEPT AWAY ON ROOFTOP DURING INTENSE FLOOD<br />WITH VID<br />BY TIM TONG<br />Watch the heartbreaking moment a dog stranded on a rooftop is swept away by powerful floodwaters in Paknaan, Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines.<br />Gamel Vernon Calago, from Mandaue, Philippines, filmed the footage showing severe flooding submerging entire streets, with water nearly reaching the rooftops of homes. <br />A terrified dog can be seen clinging to a sheet of metal roofing, desperately trying to climb higher to safety. <br />Moments later, the force of the flood tears the roof loose carrying both the structure and the dog downstream.<br />Thankfully, a later clip shows the dog safe and well after the flood has receded. <br />The tragic scene highlights gathered a staggering 26 million views on TikTok. <br />Gamel said: “Our house is right next to the river, and it's the first time something like this has happened.”<br />“The flood was over 10 feet high, above a person's height.”<br />“The floodwall was damaged, so the water pressure was intense and came rushing towards us.”<br />ENDS
