In Ecuador, the authorities of the National Electoral Council launched overseas voting for the 2025 popular consultation and referendum. According to data from the National Electoral Council (CNE), more than 470 thousand voters are eligible to exercise their right to vote in 99 areas of 38 countries. Ecuadorians residing in Europe, Oceania, and Asia will be the first to vote, followed by those in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. The last to vote will be those residing in the United States, according to Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld.
