Teen’s sudden death on camping trip likely a result of tick-induced allergy

16-year-old Jeremy Webb died on a camping trip with three friends on the NSW Central Coast on June 10, 2022, after eating beef sausages. A posthumous inquest has found he had a lethal allergy to red meat, possibly triggered by a previous tick bite.
