GRANDPARENTS FINALLY TIE THE KNOT AFTER 50 YEARS<br />WITH VID AND PIX<br />BY SHANNON PICKETT <br />This beautiful video shows the moment one elderly couple were finally given the chance to share their wedding vows after 50 years together. <br />Grace Bradley filmed her grandparents, Fernando and Onesima Barerra, finally having the wedding celebration they never had.<br />The footage shows the couple surrounded by the family they built over decades, which Grace revealed is built up of five children, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. <br />Grace said: “My grandparents immigrated to the United States by themselves when they were just children."<br />Though they were legally married years earlier, they had never held a wedding ceremony. <br />The pair worked in domestic and outdoor jobs, Fernando as a landscaper and Onesima as a housekeeper. <br />The families for whom they worked sponsored their paperwork, and both later became American citizens. <br />Over the years they raised five children, and their family grew to include ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The ceremony took place in their daughter's garden, with family present.<br />The video captured the pure emotion on both of their faces as they finally get to show their love to each other in a way they hadn't be able to before. <br />Grace said: "Later, they both became American citizens. <br />"Five children, 10 grandchildren, and one great grandchild later, they had their wedding ceremony in my mom's backyard in front of their family that they created.<br />"They came alone out of survival.<br /> "They met in the United States and got married legally but never had a wedding ceremony." <br />ENDS
